The next ADDW conference will be held at the Department of Product and Systems Design, University of the Aegean, Syros, Greece in September 2010. Following the very successful Accessible Design in the Digital World Conference in Dundee in August 2005, we are pleased to announce Accessible Design in the Digital World ’08, to be held at the University of York in September 2008.

The conference will provide an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to discuss and debate the possibilities for accessibility and usability in the emerging world of Web 2.0, ubiquitous and pervasive technologies, and user experience. Keynote speakers will include:

Michael Paciello, The Paciello Group, USA
Graeme Whippy, Lloyds TSB, UK
Alan Newell & Maggie Morgan, University of Dundee, UK
Kevin Carey, HumanITy, UK

Workshops: An Integrated Approach to Evaluating Web Accessibility – Automated, Manual and User-based Testing (Monday 22nd September)
The Inclusive Digital Economy Network: Working towards a Digital Economy inclusive of older and disabled people (Thursday 25th – Friday 26th September)

The Accessible Design in the Digital World conference was conceived by the University of Dundee’s Digital Media Access Group, who hosted the first conference, which was held in Dundee in 2005.
